The Comet Club (21st Century Community Learning Center)

The 21st Century Community Learning Center Program is a key component of student achievement. This program provides an opportunity for students and their families to continue to learn new skills and discover new abilities after the school day has ended. The focus of this program is to provide tutorial services and academic enrichment activities designed to help students meet local and state academic standards in subjects such as reading and math.

In addition, 21st Century Community Learning Center programs provide youth development activities, drug and violence prevention programs, technology education programs, art, music and recreation programs, along with counseling and character education to enhance the academic component of the program. Students must be recommended and qualify for the Comet Club. Parents must attend regularly scheduled meetings. The Comet Club runs Monday-Friday; 2:45-5:15 pm, and transportation is provided for enrolled students living in district.
